Connection-specific eligibility
Review the account, sanctioned load, proposed system and distributor. Identify whether this is a new installation, existing agreement or capacity change.
Understand your connection, your application and how exports will be billed.
Looking for net metering in Pakistan? Start with the rules for your connection. NEPRA's Prosumer Regulations, 2026 and subsequent amendments mean new applications and existing agreements need careful review. Resicon Energy supports eligibility checks, documents and coordination with the relevant electricity distributor. Export approval, metering and billing are separate from installing panels; do not assume a rate, approval date or bill reduction before applicable terms are confirmed.
For the current regulatory notices, consult NEPRA’s official publications and your electricity distributor before relying on an export arrangement.

Review the account, sanctioned load, proposed system and distributor. Identify whether this is a new installation, existing agreement or capacity change.
Confirm the forms and records needed. These may include account and identity details, equipment information, drawings and other requested documents.
Check installation information for the application. Resolve missing drawings, inconsistent capacities and incomplete records before submission.
Track submissions, queries and inspections. External approvals and scheduling remain under the responsible authority's control.
Confirm the meter arrangement and authorised installation process. Installing solar does not itself authorise grid export.
Retain agreements, application references and initial readings. These support enquiries if a later bill appears inconsistent.
Clear steps, from the first conversation to a working system.
Share the latest bill and existing agreement, if any. Confirm proposed equipment or capacity changes.
Review the applicable framework and distributor requirements. Resolve eligibility questions.
Compile records and distinguish official charges from service fees. Keep copies and references.
Respond to queries, arrange inspection access and complete agreed rectification.
Follow authorised activation and check the first applicable bill against the agreement and readings.
No. Import and export treatment can differ. Do not assume every exported unit cancels an imported unit at the same value. Confirm the mechanism, rates and charges applicable to your connection and agreement before estimating savings.
This depends on the agreement, relevant dates, approved system and current provisions. Retain agreements and approvals for review. Capacity or equipment changes can require a fresh check; a general online statement cannot establish individual entitlement.
A single permanent rate would be misleading. Check the applicable NEPRA notification, distributor and agreement when reviewing a proposal or bill. We do not use an unverified rate to promise income. Assess direct use separately from exports.
Timing depends on application completeness, technical checks, utility processing and metering. Ask for status and outstanding actions at each stage. An installer can coordinate and follow up but cannot guarantee the authority's approval date.
It can be assessed, but approval is not automatic. Connection, equipment, capacity and records must meet applicable requirements. Share inverter details, panel capacity and drawings to identify gaps.
Use the distributor and reference number on your electricity bill. This identifies the responsible connection office; do not rely on city name alone when preparing an application.
