What affects the price of a solar system in Pakistan?
Panel and inverter models, mounting, cabling, protection, batteries, access and any roof or connection work affect the price. Check whether taxes, transport and approval charges are included. Compare complete equipment lists and installation scope rather than the lowest headline price.
What is the difference between on-grid, hybrid and off-grid solar?
On-grid systems work alongside a grid connection. Hybrid designs can support compatible storage and selected backup functions. Off-grid systems are designed for operation without the grid and require careful energy planning. Backup performance depends on the actual equipment, circuit design and available energy.
How does net metering work under current rules?
Import and export treatment depends on current NEPRA provisions, the distributor and your applicable agreement. New applications and existing agreements need separate checks. Do not assume equal-value unit offsets or a permanent export rate. Review the connection-specific terms before estimating export income.
